As completing the last stop of our seminar at Nanmo on May 26th, CINEC Network Committee has officially rang down the curtain for their first event.

During the past month, we have invited many of our CINEC BCOS alumni to return to their alma mater, answering questions about studying abroad, choosing majors, and internships for current BCOS students. Our seminars have received overwhelming feedbacks! So let’s take a minute to go over the four seminars we had:

On May 7th, CINEC Network Alumni Association kicked off our semniar at Jiaxing BCOS. We are pleased to have Allan Zhang, Willian Garcia, and Vicky Shao to talk about applying for graduate school, adapting to life aboard with their personal experiences while answering questions regarding studying habits and lifetime goal from students.

On May 14th, seminars at Luwan BC and Wenzhou No.22 High School were held concurrently. Our guest speakers - Caroline Yang, Sherry Wei, Jayla Gu, Ivan Hu, Clark Xie, and Archi Zhang - covered almost every aspect we could think of regarding studying abroad in a new environment.

Because of geological constrain, Ivan Hu and Aileen Lu joined our seminar at Nanmo virtually. But it was Caroline Yang and Kelvin Xu’s on-site support that made sure everything went smoothly as planned.

To Ivan Hu, being able to participate in multiple seminars as a speaker has been a great experience. Let’s learn about how he felt regarding this “tour.”

“I think it’s a very meaningful event overall. Not only you can help current BCOS students better prepare for and adapt to their life abroad, it also provides an opportunity to connect all of us from different cities together.”

Now, CINEC Netowrk Alumni Association has been working on the next campaign and planning the next series of events. Please stay tuned!

In the end, we want to express our gratitude to all the guest speakers, to the instructors from four different schools for helping us with our seminars, as well as the organization and effort of our Executive Committee.
