Congratulation on the successful holding of the Fall Mentorship Program, and we are now proudly to announce the official start of the Winter Mentorship Program. The application period for being a Mentor or a Mentee is from February 15 to February 25, and we are open to all the graduates from one of the four high schools under CINEC (CINEC alumni).

Mentoring is a kind of learning promotion with the goal of long-term growth, which is based on the common goals, expectations, trust and respect of the mentor and the mentee. Mentoring includes the exchange and dissemination of knowledge, skills, and experience. Both instructors and students can grow and benefit from the mentoring process. Mentees can learn professional knowledge, workplace experience, lessons in life, etc. from the mentor. The mentor can take the process as an opportunity to analyze, review, and summarize what he/she has learned. A successful mentorship program also depends to a large extent on the project role’s perception of their own benefits.

Becoming a mentor, you will get valuable opportunities to utilize and share your expertise and knowledge with other alumni. It is also a great chance to develop and exercise personal leadership skills, enhance the ability of guidance, advice, and listening, and create a richer personal resume. It is also worth mention that after the mentorship, the mentor will receive a CINEC certified volunteer certificate and thank you letter.

For mentees, this Mentorship Program enables you to expand the social circle, strengthen the bond with other alumni, and gain expertise in related fields. These would all help you to have a more insightful and clear understanding of your future.

No matter you are excited about sharing your experience in life and study, or you are expecting to have some guidance from other alumni, the Mentorship Program provides you an excellent platform! To learn more about the Mentorship Program, please visit our website network.cinec.ca.
